Design
A lot of the art done for the game was inspired by the simplistic design of Gang Beasts, though the art designer’s expertise in 3D modeling software wasn’t good enough to imitate their design exactly. The resulting art became a humbly textured polygon-filled world of jumping and stomping. Much of the artwork was collaborative as well, with team members adding their own personal touch to make this game a very personal creation for each team member.
Gameplay
For Jump to Stump, we strive to create game play that is easy to learn, but hard to master. The mechanics are simple, but through mastering item usage and bouncing you can unlock an unlimited amount of possibilities to stomp your friends and claim victory.
Coding
To create Jump to Stump, we used the Unity Game Engine and C# to bring our characters and ideas to life. Some of our biggest challenges in our endeavor included object spawning, shader graphs, and animation responsiveness. Through the tireless effort of our developers, Jump to Stump brings the design to life.

Andrew Cervantes (left): Developer
Hello! I am originally from South Jersey, now living in the Boston Area. I attend Tufts University, and am currently interested in History, and travelling when I am not coding.
Ryan Dreher (middle): Artist
Hello, I am a Junior majoring in Film & Media Studies and Computer Science at Tufts University. I enjoy long walks on the beach and obscure 00’s references. Though most of my writing comprises of run on sentences, multiplexing notions, and unnecessary phraseology, I prefer to live a simpler life through meditation and Buddhist teachings.
Favour Okereke-Mba (right): Developer
Hi, I am a senior at Tufts University majoring in Computer Science. I spend a lot of time gaming so the game design class was a real attraction for me because I wanted to know how games were really made.
